Andy Murphy and Gaz Kempster’s Dead Beat Pirates collaboration takes on the classic from Talking Heads as they deliver a great 2024 update on “Psycho Killer”.

Firstly the Original harks back to the heady days of electro house, with a chunky drum bed, electronic bass and the feature vocal setting the tone. Loud, energetic and banging, with a throwback energy that still resonates today!!!

Andy Murphy pops on his DJ hat and delivers a mix perfect for today’s more grooving club dance floors. Pulling the vocal back a little and dropping a shuffling tech house backing, this one drives with a clean stripped back club vibe.

Finally, the Afro mix kicks off with big chords, a chilled sax line and an overall, more deep mellow edge. Still utilising the great new vocal, this version brings the energy down and the atmosphere up.
