Norwegian industrial and techno pioneers Sadomaoistan are back with a grand release of their catalogue of music 25 years after their breakup. The first taster from this is the single Scud/ Det Jævlige. Scud made its first appearance on the seminal house/techno compilation Nova Norvegia in 1992. A fresh edit of the track is joined by a porny, funky remix by Sex Judas and a more brooding, techno version by composer and producer Bendik Baksaas. Det Jævlige (The horrible). Sadomaoistan were known for having a bold approach to both their music as well as the subject matters they dealt with. This is very evident in this song. Det Jævlige was a live favourite and tells the story of disengaged, uninspired and probably drunken sex ending in a handful of vomit. Recorded live at Brygga, Tromsø. Enjoy!
The release of Sadomaoistans material consists of their only album Retroskopi which is presented in a refreshed version. Their unreleased industrial material is compiled as the album Terror Incognita. Both albums will be available on vinyl from Zen Feedbacker and Retroskopi will be accompanied by a series of new remixes from contemporary electronic artists.
