Devising an imposing piece of machinery from the first beat, John Falke's throbbing low end takes hold of "Octi", as it uncovers a plethora of tantalizing percussive shots and mangled vocal flourishes that pave the way down to a warped, abrasive chord sequence. Nestled in the gray areas between house and techno, "Octi" treads across murky waters with bold intentions as it contorts in a most aggressive fashion before leading us to an eerie, minimalistic breakdown.
