Vanita Wilson makes her recording Debut on Working Underneath's fourth release on the Haus'Flor Recordings label with "Don't Wanna Be Set Free". The "Amped Original Mix" features earthy, organic pads, vintage EP's and a lively bassline throughout. The "Underneath Mix" is a resurfacing of Working Underneath's signature, soulful, percussive style. It features a stomping acoustic piano, charging congas and an infectuous xylo/vibe combo. The "New Jersey Nite-Life Mix" is the beast of the three. This hard-charging madman is filled with edgy, swinging, top-end percussion, layed basses and rolling horns. Vanita's sultry, late-night, loungey vocal saturates this project from top to bottom. Her voice is thick and smooth at times, then vibrant and forceful at others. Her effortless navigation of the lyrics' cadence affords her smooth passage through the song's paces. This is one hell of a debut effort.
