As the summer comes to a close, label boss Josh Butler is going back to back on ORIGINS RCRDS after first dropping his EP on the imprint since 2023's 'The Loop' with the release of 'Elements PT1'. The two hot house cuts showcased Butler's wide-ranging sound, blending minimal-leaning rhythms, bumping basslines, and dubby textures, and now the UK favourite returns with the highly anticipated second instalment this October.
The two-track EP kicks off with 'Reverse Engineering', where sparks fly from hissing hi-hats while bubbly liquidated beats flow around pulsing melodies, before 'Express 128' locks in a tight groove with fiery soulful vocals, vibrant organ stabs and a slinking bassline across a track that's icy fresh yet loaded with nostalgia.
