Stephen began his music career as a classically-trained pianist before becoming a composer for media (film, TV, commercials, video games etc.). He composed the music for the upcoming video game set for release on iPad and online, 'Composition J' as well as working as an orchestrator on "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3", the highest selling video-game of all time. Having fostered a love of electronic music from a young age, Stephen set about producing his first EP as a solo artist. Drawing on the influences of Chicane, Ulrich Schnauss, Solar Fields, Moby, Sigur Ros, Radiohead and many others, the songs on the EP reflect a fusion of a multitude of different genres and sub-genres, all under the umbrella of 'electronica'. Stephen continues his music composition for media career alongside his work as a solo artist.
His EP consists of 5 track, the first one being "One Day The Ocean Swept Me Away". This is an amazing piece of music. With all the key elements in the right place this is and uplifting track with the slight air of Chicane to it. With guitars and synths all working in unison, this something you can imagine being on a television advert. This also comes with a shorter Radio Edit.
The next track is "Dark Brown Leaves By The Old Oak Well" has dream like choir voices in the back ground with a nice trip hop beat to keep the track flowing, and it progresses slowly and brings you to a crescendo when the piano drops in and takes you away.
The next track is "A Minutes Silence, Please, For the Ghost" This starts off a little more spooky, but as it progresses, this becomes an uplifting track with which builds with plenty of emotion which will fill the listener with feeling of strength to overcome their troubles.
The last track in this EP is "The Light At The End Of The Tunnel" this has a happy feeling to it that gives the feeling that you have reached a happy end of a film and everything is good and beautiful. Beautiful Piano and subtle pads create the vibe and its builds in a small break and really brings the listener right up with a feeling of pure joy......
