With releases on several top labels and they are looking to expand to greater heights while offering up immersive DJ sets. Their journey is a testament to their passion, creativity and the vibrant community they build with every track. We’re delighted to have them on board at Bonzai and we encourage you to keep a close eye on Nytefix & Sim—their story is evolving with the best yet to come.
We begin with the Original Mix that opens with a gnarly bass stab followed by short plucked notes. Swirling pads and teasing melodics come through before the groove kicks in to full-on mode, taking us down the progressive rabbit hole. The track is built upon a bed of solid beats and rhythmic percussions that lay the foundation for the ensuing trip. Emotive melodic phrases create a euphoric vibe while the break is filled with infectious synths that take us to the climax and into the final act.
Andy Woldman returns to the label with his top-notch Re-Work which comes after his last outing here alongside Roman Smitarello with ‘Scutum’. Andy continues to demonstrate his prowess and creativity in the electronic music sphere. With a significant influence in the underground scene, he continues to make his mark with his impressive style. Here, Andy opens his interpretation with a cool live-sounding drum arrangement that gets the toes tapping. A rolling bassline takes control of the groove as airy pads and enchanting vox fade up. On the break, infectious synths weave emotive melodies before techy stabs take over and bring us to the drop. American born techno DJ and producer Paul Atreides, debuts on Bonzai Progressive with his superb remix. In 1999, he bought a pair of Technic turntables and soon played across the US under various aliases. By 2003, he was using an American DJ Pro DJ 1, three turntables, and a BOSS DR-202 drum machine for his sets. His interest in production grew serious in 2007 after a gig in Ibiza, where DJs played mostly their own music. This experience ignited his passion, leading him to create dark, driving Techno. On the remix here, Paul delivers a solid groove made up of chunky beats, shimmering percussions and captivating pads. Delicate melodies play out alongside bright synths with a gritty edge resulting in a purely hypnotic ride that will not disappoint.
