Diego Barrera is a young DJ and producer from Peru living in Miami (via a stint in Argentina). Deep Dish's Sharam gave him his recording debut in 2018, and since then, he has not looked back, signing tracks with heavy-hitting imprints like Rawsome and Whoyostro. His debut for us was the driving Latin Tech of "Libertad", a song that was slept on by many but still found a home in the DJ sets of serious tastemakers like DJ Tennis, Carlita, Latmun, Iglesias & CID. With "Kofumba", he heads into Afro-house territory, teaming up with a Cameroonian vocalist who, despite wanting to fly under the radar in terms of being featured, has delivered a brilliantly rhythmic vocal that partners Barrerra's percussive groove perfectly.
