D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music continues a strong summer season by presenting the twenty-first edition of their SIX: Stage-X compilation series. Established five years ago, the beloved various artists showcase continues to search the globe for the freshest new talent that the electronic underground has to offer, featuring a cohesive blend of progressive and melodic techno styles. SIX: Stage-21 continues that ethos and lands in impressive fashion with exclusive music from: Matias Vega, Martin Di Sciascio, Neeco, Jeeva, Deepfire, Maxim Sheremetev, BEIL and Eric Goodenough.

Hailing from Argentina and making their label debut with ‘Missing Flight' are Matias Vega and Martin Di Sciascio. Tough driving beats and dark murky bass lines set the anchor for layers of clattering percussion and orbiting effects to paint a darker monochrome across the first act, while the main break builds tension through buzzing sonics and pensive atmospheres, pushing onwards to a trippy finale. Selection two finds Nicolas Iannini aka Neeco making his label debut with ‘Koan'. The Argentine arrives on SLC-6 following projects for Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Cigarette Music. ‘Koan' strikes a perfect balance between progressive and melodic house, complete with dreamy arp fragments, evolving atmospheres and a sturdy no frills arrangement which is ideal for the dancefloor. Moving forward to selection three it is rising Sri Lankan talent Jeeva who makes his label debut with ‘Macrocosm'. Clocking in at ten magical minutes, Jeeva crafts a slow burning morning style cut with tight compact beats, creamy melodies and a gorgeous arp-driven finale.

Newcomer Deepfire is up next with ‘Cosmic Dreamscape', a track which follows his first ever release last month for AH Digital. Aptly titled, the Indian artist takes you on an astral journey through the realms of old school progressive house with haunting vocal fragments, rolling rhythmic structures and a tension filled break to spearhead nostalgia-tinged conclusion. Having worked together previously for Pursuit Recordings, it is Maxim Sheremetev and BEIL who make their SLC-6 debut with ‘Comet'. Leaning closer to the melodic house and techno spectrum, the duo combine their extensive forces for a trance-inducing journey backed by punchy kick drums, dark synth mutations and a euphoric lead that is sure to create some memorable dancefloor moments. The release concludes with American artist Eric Goodenough not only making his label debut but production debut as well with the edgy sounds of ‘Forest Magic'. Taking inspiration from the likes of John '00' Fleming and Markus Schulz, the Santa Barbara resident crafts a psy-tech dancefloor romp which excels through the use of relentless pace, chanting vocal arrangements and a grinding acid line to keep the energy locked throughout.
