Cleveland deep techno producer Dan Curtin's appearance on Strictly Rhythm raised eyebrows at the time, but looked at in the rear view mirror, this release makes perfect sense for a label that was never shy of branching out musically. Like many other producers' Strictly releases, there's a certain sense that Time Undefined is custom made for the label; where Alive (Original) and Cascade (Dawn Mix) show as noodly deep techno meets deep house, Alive (Summer Mix) and Cascade (Original) are subtly energised for the dancefloor and shot through with Curtin's Chicago and Detroit influences. And they show their years well, always a reliable test of quality.
