Namito, a German-Iranian DJ and music producer from Berlin, experienced a turbulent childhood during the Iranian Revolution and Iran-Iraq War. Born in Tehran, these events deeply shaped his life and artistic style. In 1985, he moved to Germany where he eventually pursued electronic music, soon influencing Berlin's scene with residencies at Tresor and Kit Kat Club. His career took off with his 1996 debut record and was marked by hits like 'City Of Gods' and 'Stone Flower,' the latter being Beatport's top Electronica track in 2019. Namito has performed globally, collaborated with icons like Grandmaster Flash, and in 2018, founded Ubersee Music, merging Western house music with Iranian vocals. Celebrating Ubersee Music's 5th anniversary and a global tour, Namito recently received the Global Recognition Award 2024, continuing his impactful journey in electronic music.
