Raised in a world immersed in music, Ray, Jr. was taught to play conga and timbales by his father. He quickly showed his talent as he branched out to play drums, bass and keyboards. His father often told him he had big ears because of his ability to feel and understand the wide variety of musical styles he would expose him to.
Ray, Jr.songwriting and record production career started with a #13 hit on the Billboard International Top 100 called Want Your Lovin, a club smash he wrote for acclaimed dance music artist, Curtis Hairston.
His unique and distinct sound is both hard and smooth, rhythmic and melodic, and features well crafted lyrics that are deep and insightful
