A new year, the same mission. To shape modern-day sound while paying homage to the old days. An ethos that has always been at the core of Frenzy as a community, event organizer, and record label. With this third VA release, we are taking the collective storytelling a step further. Although 12 artists contributed to this double-vinyl powerhouse, we curated it with a singular sonic journey in mind - creating a parallel evolvement of energy throughout different frequencies. You are invited to dive into the space-time continuum together with us.
The multilayered A-side takes off as Spanish producer Coyu sets the tone for a playful and energetic night with ‘Drunk Calls’. Once stepped in, UK-born Baily Ibbs drags you into the driving depths with ‘Manic Room’. French producer Antigone combines the best of both worlds on ‘Push’, a rave-esque tune with a house-oriented edge that’s sure to make temperatures on dancefloors rise.
We’ve entered a new world on the B-side. UK-born and raised Hurdslenk delivers a minimalistic dub workout with his ‘Starting Fresh’ opener. Italian Rebecca Delle Piane picks up where he left off while taking the energy to a higher level with ‘Dulzura’. It’s getting late and ‘4AM’ by Dublin-based Dylan Fogarty takes the stage for a radiant closing.
The darker realm of techno characterizes the C-side. First, Brussel’s Steve Redhead kicks in with sonic visions of the early 2000s on ‘Pantonone’. Fierceless and persistent, the German Juri Heidemann redefines the rules of the game with heavy roller ‘Kesema’. To complete the C chapter in full force, Berlin-based Chontane delivers the final blow with a full tension release on ‘Reoite’.
We’re staying close home for the D-side with three producers from Dutch grounds. Remco Beekwilder opens with ‘Afsauzen’ - a peak-time track with a pounding bassline and roaring vibrancy. As a follow-up, Holland’s finest Juan Sanchez delivers the highly functional dancefloor filler ‘Miles on Meter’. For the closing track, we go full circle - as emerging talent Vromo delivers a cinematic composition with ‘Means The World’ - fusing the new and the old once again.
