SLEAZY018 | 2013-12-11
Time for a little something different with something you would also come to expect from the finest purveyors of the sleaze. Sleazy Deep sign Casual Affair aka Andrew Brown and Ollie Gibson after their killer track for Future Sleaze. Following this the boys came to us with a special project, which at that stage had no name. This was 2 minds, 2 producers, one of which (Andrew Brown) can sing and with the pair both knowing their way around classic analogue synths and having a love for all things glitterati something glitzy & special was bound to happen. This was the first time we heard Casual Affairs - a down tempo yet danceable lyrical masterpiece of 80’s nu wave yet for the nu skool generation. Nu skool disco & deep House, killer hooks and juno pads mixed with classic disco drums really set this apart and it all comes together lyrically with vocals actually worth a good listening too. Modern, Futuristic nostalgia for a new generation, neon lights, disco balls, anonymous & dangerous carefree romancing. Casual Affairs sounds like a backdrop to a classic films soundtrack and is taken from their forthcoming album, which is going to be something sexy, something special and most certainly something wonderful from the now aptly named Causal Affair. Now for the remixes, introducing a World exclusive team up with Hot Waves, Akbal, Mexa, No.19 duo Balcazar & Sordo and Raffa FL of Electronique, Nasty Funk & Nurvous fame. We knew the boys would do some damage here bringing their trademark floor destroying sound. Sirens are rife from the start as the tension builds with nicely chopped vocals making way for that seriously hot bassline drop. Keeping the momentum going label boss Rob Made does what he’s been getting a lot of attention for and that’s big ass floor shaking emotive music, big pads and bass with a great use of the vocals and his own musical soundscapes merging old-school hoovers with modern Nu Disco vibes. Max Chapman takes us back to the 90’s with his speaking smashing remix and finally the Casual Affair boys turn in a more musical and upbeat nu disco remix with old-school & acid twists. Once again, ESSENTIAL!
