Robot84 makes his debut on Re-Loved
Scott Ferguson has been DJ'ing since the early 90s playing a mixture of house, balearica beats, disco, and deep house. Over a decade ago he came up with the Robot84 moniker to present his love of Ibiza-inspired Balearic disco and the deeper Chicago-influenced side of house.
This latest EP flaunts his taste in French disco with the vocal-led 'Make Me Feel Good' full of hi-octane energy and feel-good female vocals. The dub mix ditches the vocal and truncates and stretches out the groove for maximum dancefloor energy whilst 'Futuro Disko' has an Italo disco feel with its pulsating bassline, cowbells galore, and sexy spoken female vocal. Definite shades of NYC disco don Patrick Cowley on this one in a good way.
