Following the release of their striking Defected debut ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ’, YOURS return with the eponymous EP as follow-up, further demonstrating their diverse musical output. The new collective from Irish vocalist Maverick Sabre, esteemed producer New Machine, Prevu founder Jake Hall and East London DJ Sonny Hall, the ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ EP’ opens with a previously unheard VIP mix of their debut Defected single, as well as the release in its original form. Also featured on the EP are the group’s previous cuts which were independently released. Leading with ‘CALLING’, featuring layers of vocal texture in the form of Maverick’s Wexford spoken-word and soulful harmonies, New Machine’s playful remix of the elegant cut featuring MCs Armor & Stretch follows. Finally, ‘IN THE MORNING’ closes out the EP, demonstrating the group’s more dancefloor focussed style, as emotive piano chords merge with shuffling percussion and an indulgent bassline. Maverick Sabre also delivers his own remix of the record, deep and wandering with atmospheric synths that demonstrate his production capabilities with his first ever release as a remixer.
