'London Town'
Press Release 'This is the place!'
Tracks:
London Town: Bahar Canca and Matt Williams, feat.Phil Ramacon
London Town: Bahar's 2023 edit, Matt Williams and Bahar Canca, feat. Phil Ramacon
London Town: Remix by Alex W Marx,Matt Williams and Bahar Canca, feat. Phil Ramacon
The original collaboration was produced by Matt Williams and Bahar Canca in 2011, however it was archived due to not being 'in tune' with Bahar's musical tastes and style at the time.. But now this love letter to London is ready to be shared with the world!
Well received by fans on the dance floor, this catchy deep house number will have you snapping your fingers from the get-go. It's not hard to imagine a flash mob on the tube moving to these groovy beats. Soulful and uplifting, mixed with a tinge of torment, 'London Town' aims to recruit kindred spirits - maybe culturally diverse but on the same frequency.
'London Town' generates mixed emotions - 'I love you,I hate you!' It is on par with how many people - London-dwellers and tourists alike - feel about the wonderful but oft exasperating city.A profound point in time captured by Bahar Canca when she wrote the stirring lyrics and delivered with raw intensity by Phil Ramacon's sultry vocals.
Plug into 'London Town', let your mind drift, and feel the love expressed in this tender track. There's a very good reason so many people live in London: 'This IS the place!'
Fast forward to the current day and Bahar has embossed her talent (again) with 'Bahar's 2023 edit'. Catchier, and as you would expect, tighter than the original version, it draws on Bahar's substantial experience developed over the years, and obviously newer technology, to enrich 'London Town' and expand its appeal.
An edgy remix by Alex W Marx echoes the sentiments originally expressed and entices even the shyest toetappers to the dancefloor. Fans will need to decide for themselves which version they prefer, if they must, and indeed it may just come down to the time and place. Of course, that place will most likely be 'London Town'.
Bahar has been producing since 2010 and has always loved using live recordings of talented friends, preferring to work with her musical family. Originally from Turkey, London-based Bahar has been the life and soul of many a party. The creator and founder of Psy-Boutique Festival, Bahar kept minds distracted and bodies moving during the pandemic with Psy-Boutique Radio - a much-needed weekly radio show alternating between techno and psytrance DJs. Her unstoppable energy attracts many admirers, uniting appreciative music lovers everywhere and showing us her considerable diversity in range and style.
Matt Williams is a multi talented producer who has been making music for couple of decades, spanning many genres from hard house to techno, and everything in between. Once upon a time he played drums in a rocking hard house band, and is also a classically trained brass instrumentalist. Alongside Bahar Canca he is one of the founders of Sub Bubble Label, created in 2010.. Bahar hails him as her irreplaceable musical mentor.
Phil Ramacon: Songwriter - producer - arranger. Over the last 25 years, he has collaborated with everyone from Jimmy Cliff, Vanessa Mae, Neneh Cherry, Bob Marley, Talk Talk, Phil Collins, Jamelia, Toni Childs, Take That, Keb Mo, Gregory Isaacs, Marianne Faithful, David Gilmour, Gloria Gaynor, Marshall Jefferson, the list goes on ... He has been musical director for Channel 4's Club Mix for three years. And Phil is no stranger to Sub Bubble - he also sang on the release 'Think Twice', also produced by Matt Williams and Bahar Canca.
Remix artist Alex W Marx is Ibiza based, and has been producing since 2018 and has released under labels such as Angry Bird , Sudam, Plur and Headcuts records. He has been rocking the dance floors as a DJ since 2002.
'London Town' Artwork: For the last 8 years we have worked closely with Sasha DJ ukicin, who is behind T-Raid designs. We are always greatful for his amazing work and high quality designs.
