As summer unfolds in Europe, Kevin McKay wanted a sunkissed take on "Work", the Pupa Nas-T and Denise Belfon classic he reworked at the end of last year. Of course, the first DJs to make this classic vocal famous were Masters at Work (who took the scarcely-known original recording on Brooklyn's JW Productions and re-released it on their MAW label). The hype for that release started when Louie Vega played the original at a MAW label party in WMC, Miami, in 2000. Kevin, an avid attendee of WMC in those days, has taken those blissed-out feels and wrapped them up in this VIP remix. The song, back in its original major key, gets a deep rolling bassline, swirling pads and intricate tuned percussion, perfect for a summer on the white isle.
