One of electronic music’s most revered contemporary artists, Archie Hamilton’s remarkable rise through the ranks of underground house and techno has earnt him a reputation as one of Europe’s originators of the minimal sound. Now he debuts on Defected Records with ‘Let The Light In’, moving away from his trademark stripped-back sound to explore classic vocal house influences. A full circle moment for Archie, whose humble industry beginnings started as an intern at Defected close to two decades ago, his first release on the London label demonstrates a rich knowledge of the genre. Featuring Manchester vocalist HQA, the EP also features the Garage Dub teased during Archie’s set at Paradise Miami during Music Week.
