Cultured underground techno outlet Stripped Down Records welcomes back regular family member Ken Hayakawa for two more of his impactful tracks. Hayakawa was born in Salzburg to a Japanese mother. He studied the classical music of his homeland to the point of eventually playing Beethoven's music in several renowned venues. The elegance, melody and minimalism of it still characterises the techno he makes today and it has come on Schönbrunner Perlen, Trapez, The DJ Hell Experience and this label most recently with 2022's Kaisermantel.

Excellent opener 'Mute Air' is a scintillating trip with wiry synths layered up into fizzing tapestries. They hang above the rolling drums to bring real tension and crescendo to the track before more delicate and enchanting melodies arrive and bring a celestial atmosphere.

'Unity' is another immaculate synth showcase, with thundering bass notes offset by wispy leads. The duality makes for engaging tension as the drums roll on and make for the sort of track that will mark a dramatic high point in any setting.

These are two artfully arranged and musically rich techno tracks that bring something fresh to the club.
