20 Years Of MoreHouse Records Vol 2 (2013 - 2023) - Traxsource Exclusive Promo Release March 24th, 2023
It was a little over 20 years ago that our beloved US House label MoreHouse Records (MoHo) burst on to the scene with an acclaimed debut from Groove Junkies feat. Solomon Henderson, 'Inside My Soul.' Since then, MoHo and our artists have cemented our legacy in the history of House music over the past 2 decades. With 2022 seeing the release of our 100th single ('Done Me Wrong'), we have creatively crafted an impressive catalogue of heartfelt, memorable songs and dance floor shakers that beautifully flow between Soulful, Deep, Jazzy, Funky, Afro and Latin House genres.
To celebrate our 20th Anniversary milestone, we're set to unleash a '20 Years Of MoreHouse Records' compilation across two volumes, featuring a whopping 50+ tracks in all, showcasing some of our finest musical moments. Volume 1 focuses on the first 10 years (2002 - 2012) with Volume 2 spotlighting the last 10 years (2013 - 2023). Armed with a selection of remastered classics, fan favorites and chart-topping hits, the compilations feature an array of exciting original collaborations, remixes and covers featuring highly regarded producers such as Reelsoul, Brian Tappert, DJ Spen, Opolopo, Richard Earnshaw, DJ Meme, Michele Chiavarini, David Harness, Deep Soul Syndicate and MoHo co-owner Evan Landes (Groove Junkies) amongst many others. Add to that the stellar vocal talents of singer / songwriter and label co-owner Solara, Lisa Shaw, Joi Cardwell, Indeya, Diane Carter, TC Moses, Nichelle Monroe, MissFly, Carolyn Harding, Mijan and Tertulien Thomas (to name just a few), who have all contributed to the label's quality output and helped define the 'MoHo sound.' MoreHouse has been long supported by the world's DJ elite - Louie & Anane Vega, the late Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Dave Lee, Terry Hunter, Tony Humphries, DJ Spen, DJ Spinna, Natasha Diggs and Doug Gomez are just a few who have championed the imprint over the years. And as the beat goes on, MoreHouse continues to nourish our longstanding fan base, while seducing a whole new generation of deep and soulful house music lovers.
