The original mix of ‘Summer Vibin’ opens the EP and takes us straight to the dancefloor with an upfront, vibrant display of deep house goodness. Spritely chords and deep, playful basses combine as a foundation of punchy beats and crispy hats weave dancey rhythms. A cool vocal tops off the groove adding that distinct clubby vibe. Piston Recordings stalwart Luis Bravo is back on the label with his fantastic Moody Remix of ‘Summer Vibin’. We’ve always had a solid connection with Luis who never fails to deliver the goods. On the remix here, Luis delivers a smooth, deep and sublime cut that will keep the late-night sessions rocking. Rhythmic percussions and chunky beats combine to form intricate patterns as modulating chords fade up. Brighter stabs cut through the lower frequencies adding contrast to the groove. On the low end, a super warm bassline dominates, making this one a must have.

BNinjas returns to the label with his top-notch remix of ‘Summer Vibin’. The Johannesburg based DJ, producer has been churning out smooth, deep house tunes for many years now and has notched up an impressive release count on Piston in the process. The remix here lowers the tempo to deliver a sublime, kitschy groove. Organic drums flow effortlessly as delicate piano notes are joined by a plucky bassline. Cool vocals are joined by tightly wound, twisty sounds which add texture to the groove. ‘La Vida’ rounds out the release, taking us back to an upbeat mover with diva-esque vocal shots furnished with cool FX. Super tight beats and rhythmic percussions will force you to move as a highly infectious old skool style piano takes centre stage. A definite floor filler, not to be missed.
