Colombian talent Nicola Martinez returns to Unnamed & Unknown with his three-track solo debut EP titled 'Mini Skirt'.
After the addition of Nicolas Martinez's 'Trippin' on our 'ADE '22' compilation, the rising Colombian producer is back on Unnamed & Unknown with his first solo EP spanning three driving percussive-focused cuts across his 'Mini Skirt' EP.
Opening with the title cut, 'Mini Skirt' dives straight into a flurry of terrace-ready beats and playful traits from the outset. Punchy drum work meets rhythmic sub-bass whilst simmering percussion adds endless movement to the mix. Its catchy vocal hook brings the track to life, supplemented by subtle melodic layers and several suspenseful builds - met with funk-laced drops.
'Funky Bit' comes next, bringing more signature Unnamed & Unknown sounds from start to finish. Emphasising groove-focused rhythms, catchy vox chops, creative sampling and more low-frequency drive, its peak-time personality is a sure-fire pick for packed dancefloors and big club systems.
'Move My Body' closes the release in emphatic fashion, delivering another percussive-focused dancefloor jam. Sturdy beats and another moving sub-bass drive the track forwards through a sea of quirky fills, cheeky vocals and clever breaks to supply the third of three impressive tracks on the EP.
