We welcome Brighton producer Peter O back to NT with Waste Not – a wonderful four-track ep of 90s-infused deep house.
Peter O's label debut in 2014 (Colours EP, NT078) is one of our favourite releases of the last decade. Mixmag called it "classic deep house, perfect for those beach house moments" and the release found widespread dj support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Catz 'N Dogz, Martin Landsky, Waifs + Strays, Fish Go Deep, Mark Farina, Brett Johnson & Joyce Muniz to name a few.
On his return Peter delivers a delightful ep of deep house for fans of DIY, Nuphonic and Paper. From the stripped-back vibes of the title track, to the feel good vocal hook of The Last Days, the EP has a nostalgic feel without being overly sentimental. Soulful, forward-thinking dance music with a nod to the past on tap here.
A veteran of Lodon's clubs and pirate radio, Peter now teaches music technology while continuing to produce and deejay. His discography includes work on Tronicsole, Nightbird Music, De La Casa and Disclosure Project Recordings, Nordic Trax and he's collaborated with the likes of Monophunk, Asadinho, Alex Barck, Kris Wadsworth and J-Felix among others. His early work caught the attention of some notable music tastemakers including M.A.N.D.Y., Charles Webster, Lucidflow and Q Burns.
