Label boss Matt Walsh compiles and mixes his %u2018Clouded Vision Experiment%u2019 featuring exclusive tracks from some of the hottest electronic music producers around%u2026.
Matt Walsh has been at the heart of London%u2019s ever shifting electronic music scene for the last five years, originally as a DJ holding residencies for T-Bar & Bugged Out, before joining the Turbo crew and touring the world. His Clouded Vision moniker began in 2007 as an artist name he shared with production partner Steve Cook, the pair have recorded for the likes Meant & NYC%u2019s Throne of Blood and have further releases lined up on Relish and Kill the DJ. 2009 saw Walsh step up and launch his own Clouded Vision Recordings imprint which has gone on to become one of the key labels focussing on modern electronic disco, releasing music from the likes of Darabi, Sishi Rosch, Bozzwell & Alex Jones.
Now Mr Walsh has put together his most ambitious project to date, a compilation of all exclusive Clouded Vision material from some of the hottest producers from around the globe. The album will be released as a mixed compilation CD as well as a digital release featuring full-length versions of sixteen of the tracks whilst the other four appear on a limited vinyl sampler.
Musically %u2018The Clouded Vision Experiment%u2019 is a wonderfully expansive collection that incorporates elements of disco, house, techno, electro and beyond. Running to a total of twenty tracks it journeys from the emotive string led excellence of Maxime Iko%u2019s %u2018Wrong Place%u2019, through the darkly hypnotically %u2018Truckin%u2019 from French duo Darabi, on through the vocal electro of My Favorite Robot and Remain to a superb closer from Daniel Avery & The Deadstock 33s. Matt Walsh appears himself, on Draco%u2019s %u2018Remote%u2019 and as a remixer on Morgan Hammer%u2019s %u2018Libillule%u2019, a wonderfully ethereal slice of deep techno. The album is packed full of gems from some of the most interesting producers around and is a testament both to their talents and to Matt Walsh%u2019s A&Ring policy for the label.
