French outfit Happiness Therapy continues its release schedule this September with a brand new EP from Glasgow based Spanish artist Dan Be. The four-tracker, aptly named Makes Me Happy, also features a collaboration with Portuguese artist Bernardo Mota.

House N°4 sets the tone to begin, blending starry-like synth pulses with an infectious, 4x4-leaning bassline. Echoing vocals soon arrive, sat atop stirring key chimes, before The One continues in a similarly groove-led vein via rolling kick-hat combos and stabs of acid-like whirls throughout.

Killer Keys comes next, manifesting as a euphoric, piano-fused slice of modern house music. From ebullient chords to infectious lyrical samples, we're taken on a six-minute rhythmic trip, one that opens neatly into the EP's closing collaborative saga: Makes Me Happy. A joint venture with Portuguese talent Bernardo Mota, it rounds off proceedings on a warming, feel-good note.

Daniel Escudero aka Dan Be is no stranger to the Happiness Therapy family. An accomplished producer, he first debuted on the label in 2021 on the third volume of the Happy House compilation series. Now, Makes Me Happy marks his return, continuing a highlight 2022 that has seen him releasing on Slow Supermarket and his own imprint Y4 Collective !
