We welcome Phuket, Thailand based electronic music artist Taz Mutcha back to Piston Recordings with the fantastic Morning Light EP, which follows his early 2022 debut cut - Day Dreaming. Having started out going to local clubs, Taz was inspired to start his own parties and began to throw pioneering gigs during the day on Phuket’s beaches. This developed into a thriving club scene which spawned other projects and ultimately led Taz into the production realm. His tracks have gained support from a host of top names including Louie Vega, Miguel Migs, Gene Farris and many more. Great to see him back once again.

The Original Mix of Morning Light gets the release underway and heralds in a smooth, mid-tempo groove full of character and pleasure. Set upon a bed of organic drums and a groovy bassline, soothing vocals are joined by warm chords and delicate notes which blend effortlessly to deliver that defining dancefloor vibe. A superb track, not to be missed. The Breakfast Time Mix or Morning Light is up next, taking the sound into a new realm with experimental tendencies. The vocal holds that same soothing characteristic and is joined by airy pads which reveal an emotional side. A slow burning groove is charged by broken beats and crispy sharp percussions while a deep plucky bassline adds depth to the sound. Don’t Know concludes the release and intros with a cool live sounding drum arrangement. The flavourful drums are soon joined by a deep subby bassline as rich, warm chords add vibrancy to the groove. Chopped vocal shots fill the spectrum adding an extra spice to a track that will definitely translate well on the floors.
