Following on nicely from the recent Flori 12" City Fly Records are proud to present their latest EP courtesy of Strasbourg's producer du jour Steven-J AKA Wobblejay. Though a name not familiar in many house circles, Steven-J actually goes way back having previously been in groups Steppah Huntah and Nu Tropic - simultaneously showcasing his versatility and pedigree having appeared on acclaimed labels such as Compost and Jazzmin.
Fast-forward to the present and Steven-J has actually featured on a previous City Fly 12" (on last year's 'CSA' EP) under his Creative Swing Alliance nom de plume with partner in crime Pablo Valentino. Under his Creative Swing Alliance alias with Pablo they have gained notoriety and cult status in recent years with their 'Raw Cuts' series on the iconic and buy-on-sight MCDE imprint alongside Danilo Plessow's Motor City Drum Ensemble.
2012 has proved to be another productive year so far with Steven-J releasing 12"s as Creative Swing Alliance on house-purist labels such as purveyors favourite Tsuba and Japan's Endless Flight. However, his new solo effort on City Fly presents the perfect opportunity to step out from the shadows and present his idiosyncratic yet compelling take on house - showcasing his unique house flavour complete with a dose of Gallic flair added to proceedings... Another killer release on an already distinguished discography - City Fly are on a mission and are putting Leicester on the house map...
