Kamosoul returns to Piston Recordings with another top-notch three tracker titled Lifelong EP. This one follows his last effort, Closer To You EP and will no doubt be just as popular among the deep house fraternity. Kamosoul started to DJ in 2015 which led him into producing his own music and he has never looked back since. He is all about the quality of the work and not about the name making, this ethos can be heard and felt in the sounds he creates, deep, electronic with groovy elements with occasional rough, dirty edges. It’s always our pleasure to have him here and we hope to hear more soon.

Delving into moody, mid-tempo grooves, the EP opens with the title track, Lifelong. The intro boasts bubbling synths, warm chords and white noise FX. Pitched down vocals emerge alongside shuffling percussions and a deep plucky bassline. On the break, soft melodies and playful keys come through before the final act takes us back down the rabbit hole. I found You is next, sticking with the deep and moody vibes with diva-esque vocal shots. The bassline marries the layers beautifully, with flurries of exotic percussions adding rhythmic flair and trippy chord pads filling the spectrum alongside the cool vocal and subtle melodic patterns. Gone At Night completes the trio of companion tracks on the EP. Again, we’re drawn deep into that late-night loungy vibe thanks to sub-level basses, hypnotic pads and toe-tapping drums. The use of vocal adds character, complimenting the previous tracks and keeping us locked in to the highly infectious grooves. Top-notch stuff.
