This 23rd label release features reworkings of each original track from Rez Dorsia's beautifully-composed "Canvas" EP, previously released on Vested Recordings. Each song was reconstructed with great care and given a new persona while staying true to the spirit of its first incarnation, giving true value to the statement that a proper remix makes. Ranging from deep progressive breaks to melodic techno to progressive house, this release houses a refreshingly compelling spectrum of sounds and emotions that will make a lasting imprint on dancefloors in all corners of the globe.
First, "Four Darks In Red", is reworked by longtime friends and co-conspirators: the ever-eclectic My Boy Elroy and Vested label head RJ Pickens. Their collaborative Carbon Copy Mix begins with deep cinematic progressive breakbeats and crescendos with a galloping and explosive 4/4 progressive house drop, evoking moods of mischief, mystery, suspense, and the thrill of a chase.
Next, "Black On Maroon" gets a dark and driving melodic techno reworking in the DCCCXXX Rendition. Powerful synths, relentless rhythms, and mesmerizing grooves make this a perfect selection for late nights in dark rooms. Big rises and falls make for hands-in-the-air moments, as this storming roller-coaster of a rework takes you on a magical ride.
Lastly, "Manet Green" gets a stellar remix treatment from Freedo Mosho – an artistic supernova in a sky full of stars. It's a true pleasure to feature this beautiful progressive remodeling that has been proven time and time again already on a wide variety of dancefloors.
You'll most certainly want to add this Canvas to your own musical gallery.
