Nothing Can Come Between Us

David Aurel, Sam Dexter, Rozie Gyems

Glasgow Underground

Sade sounds so good on a deep house beat, and we have a load of 12"s from the 90s with her deep, breathy tones working their magic over a low-slung 4/4 groove. Recent vinyl bootlegs have also worked - the DSO & Digwah ones are absolute peaches. Sadly, it's been hard to re-create them legally and give tracks the same naughty feel. That is until we heard Rozie Gyems's voice. She has a similar background to Sade Adu and delivers the same velvety tones that made Adu an international star in the 80s. On "Nothing Can Come Between Us", David Aurel joins Sam Dexter on production duties, bringing a raw underground groove that is the perfect backing for Gyems' sultry vocals.
