At any given moment, Azanian feels like it could have been recorded at a kwaito pup somewhere in Soweto in the '90s and back in 2020 with deep techy synths. The record is heavy on sounds he played himself, from drums and fat synth melodies. For features, Lunga enlisted one of the pioneers of South African house music Dr. Duda and talented vocalist Mthandazo Gatya, Muhulu Rakhivhane, Nicky Deep, and OKAY GOD who set the mood with a harmonic intro.
