Sicilian electronic music trio OL3VISION, debut on Piston Recordings with the superb, Close To Me. The group is made up of Gerry Albano and Fabrizio Cusumano who are no strangers to Piston through their Sonic Dust project, and Dario Assenzo aka Hazner. The guys have been friends for a long time and now, they put their creative minds together to unleash their brand of music which will explore the deeper echelons of house music through fusions of classic and electronic sounds. An exciting project, we’re delighted to have them here.

The Original Mix opens the release, setting the tone with a smooth deep house vibe. Chunky beats and sharp hats combine alongside raspy vocals and delicate piano melodies. A lush bassline joins in, adding depth and character to the sound, locking us into the groove. Sweeping pads and exotic percussions fill out the spectrum and make this one a definite must have, no doubt. Sonic Dust return to Piston on remix duties. They continue to experiment with their sound and underground atmospheres, and as always, they hit the mark once again. Here, the duo unleashes a deep and moody groover. A trippy bassline drives the sound as tight beats and rhythmic percussions keep the feet moving. The simple vocal becomes infectious, combining beautifully with enigmatic chords and an array of classic sounds. Not to be missed. Charlie Iapicone marks his PR debut with a solid remix. He began to DJ at just 14 years old, playing at top venues in Italy and sharing the stage with a host of world class artists. Since 2017 he’s released an impressive catalogue of works on several quality labels, great to have him here. On the remix here, Charlie ups the tempo with a pacey deep house mover. The beats are infectious and lay the foundation for a plucky bassline to shore up the groove. The vocals come through brilliantly and are joined by soft chords and delicate melodies. The perfect fodder to keep the party rocking.
