Born in Seshego, Edwine Matlou aka Eddie ZAR is a self-taught producer/Dj who began his musical journey in 2017.
In 2020, the single titled 'Injalo' marked his debut on the Afro/tech-house scene. Later the same year, the EP 'FOR THE CULTURE' was released. From there, Eddie continued to develop his craft alongside his best friend Shredder SA, and together, they created the label Hexx Room Records. Building up a solid relationship with Bushman, with both teams leading a charge on running record labels, they began to discuss how they could work together to release their work through We Are Idyll. Emotional U10 was born.
The Emotional U-10 EP idea came at a time when Eddie was desperate for a bit of a change in his production. He added a tightened drumline alongside Eddie ZAR singing melodically over the rhythm to add a feel to it. It was delivered to WeareiDyll and Bushman fell in love with the simple style, but the added extras took this EP from nearly finished to complete. Eddie approached this work with a clear mind and enough emotion to lift listeners off their feet, but not overpower a melodic rhythm. This track will have your eyes closed and hands in the air, whilst Eddie's pleasing voice takes you on that journey into the clouds.
With another stalwart remix from Shredder SA, this pack is perfect for the WeareiDyll production line of great music, alongside bringing a new name into the industry; showing the hard work you do pays off.
