S&S Records, Inc. (and S&S Chicago, Inc.) was established by 4-time GRAMMY® nominated producer and House Music pioneer Steve "Silk" Hurley and global DJ/Producer Shannon "DJ Skip" Syas. Silk and Skip merged Hurley's worldwide commercial success and Syas' strong global following to form S&S Records.
This collaboration is the first of many to come for Khadeeja Grace and Steve “Silk” Hurley. The original version showcases Khadeeja’s Lyric writing and producing skills, while also providing a classic vocal delivery. “Silk” puts his finishing touches on the production and mix, and this first S&S Records release also features new remixes by Dany Cohiba, Zonum, DJ Skip, as well as 2 versions by “Silk” himself.
Khadeeja Grace is a producer, singer/songwriter and visual designer with musical influences from past generations such as Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Roy Ayers, and more. With a mixture of Soul, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, and House, you can tell that Khadeeja Grace is from Chicago in the passionate way she expresses words, sounds, and rhythms.
After becoming a successful visual designer, she decided to learn about digital recording with Protools and Propellerhead. Khadeeja spent the next 6 years developing an original sound underground and later came to Pressure Point Studios in Chicago to become an assistant engineer.
At Pressure Point Studio she learned about the music industry and developed an even more polished ear for sound recording while establishing relationships that would later benefit her journey. Khadeeja Grace had the pleasure of assisting the head engineer on projects with artists and producers such as Donald Lawrence, Darius Brooks, Percy Bady, Tink, PJ Morton, Brandy, and “Stand” from The Birth of a Nation soundtrack and more.
Since then, Khadeeja opened her own music studio in downtown Chicago "Gbb Studios" under the Pressure Point Studios umbrella. She has grown into a well-rounded vocalist, producer, and businesswoman, providing opportunities to aspiring creatives looking to advance their careers in production and networking through accredited colleges.
Her last single "Gotta Paint" was streamed in the hundreds of thousands across the globe, and she is currently working on projects with Legendary House Music producers Steve Silk Hurley and Jamie 326.
