We welcome Haustuff aka Guilherme Assenheimer to Piston Recordings with his superb debut titled, Haia EP. Guilherme’s music experience started in 1991, listening to all forms of electronic dance music. It was this bug that led him to DJing and he started spinning at top clubs and festivals around Brazil. He is the founder of Radiola Records which boasts a raft of top releases including most of his own works. A true old school artist, he definitely knows how to put his brand of house music onto the dancefloor, great to have him here.

The Haia Kingdom kicks off the release, sending down a vibrant and upbeat groove right from the off. Chunky beats and rhythmic percussions join sharp, striking synth chords before a warm, subby bassline rocks the low end. Cool vocal shots litter the sound, adding texture and making this an absolute must for the floors. 420 Rate continues the upbeat ethos of the EP, offering up plush basses and stabbing synths. Bright vocal hits, tight beats and shuffling percussions join forces for a smooth, dancey rhythm. A straight up floor mover that wastes no time getting down to business. Brunette Dreams rounds out the release, taking us that little bit deeper with a darker atmosphere. Strong drums create a flowing rhythm as late-night chords join a beautifully lush sub-level bassline. Chord stabs come through in various shapes, from sharp to delicate, adding a dynamic to the sound. Not to be missed.
