One of the tunes of the summer, Pirupa’s ‘Party Non Stop’, sees a fresh release from Defected with brand new remixes from Riva Starr and Huxley.

Previously appearing on Locodice’s much-lauded Desolat earlier this year, Defected’s keen ear snapped up the anthemic cut almost immediately and set to work drafting in two of the strongest artists around for their reinterpretations.

If you’ve been to a club over the past few months you’ll have almost certainly heard ‘Party Non Stop’; a rousing hip-houser that takes no prisoners. Frenetic jacking beats, massive bass and extended drops evoke early rave aesthetics (think Renegade Soundwave) while ultra modern production provides a powerful sonic effect throughout, with the lead vocal dipping in and out of vocodered modulation.

Dirty Bird & Snatch producer Riva Starr rarely fails to deliver, and doesn’t disappoint with his cut up, swinging interpretation. Rhythmic, pacey and joyfully overblown where it counts, the Italian’s version veers from house to electro and back again with slick gusto. Man of the moment, Huxley, follows up heavy work for 20:20 Vision and Hypercolour with another winner. Robust UK house with nods to UK Garage and Bashment, it’s a remix with teeth and rounds of an essential package for one of the biggest tracks of the year
