Chad Jack vs. Nasty Pig is the collaboration between DJ/Producer Chad Jack and David Lauterstein, CEO of New York based sportswear label, Nasty Pig. The two met in 1995 when Lauterstein was looking to work with a DJ to create branded mix tapes to sell out of his store. Jack produced a demo that blew Lauterstein's mind, and the two started a loose collaboration and a strong friendship.
Over the years the tapes became CDs and the CDs became podcasts. Lauterstein began to make cameo vocal appearances on Jack's CDs after Jack used a message Lauterstein left on his cell phone as an intro to one of his sets. "His voice was perfectly on beat," says Jack. "He wasn't even trying. I didn't have to nudge it a drop. It just fell right into place."
The two had long been discussing an official collaboration and in 2010 they released "eZbreez" which became an instant under-ground club hit thanks to it's sassy references and big room production. Their second release "Gag On It" became an international smash in 2011 and crossed over to mainstream dance floors thanks to remixes by Superchumbo and Barry Harris. The track remains in heavy rotation a year and a half later.
Now, in 2012 comes their third release "World War Four" on Tommy Boy. With seven mixes including a big room banger from Razor N Guido and a moody after hours spin from DJ Paulo, this track is destined to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, delivering authentic house to a very appreciative audience who are on the floor to dance.
