Five years ago a couple of lonely hearts by the names of Late Eighties, IceCreams, and n808 were offered a show for their friends' MNML FUN's monthly at Underground SF on Haight street. They were all out of town in Berlin or something so we said what the hell might as well throw a party and see what happens. Kirin Rider headlined (this was before she decided to do makeup and way before her work on Euphoria) and the party did pretty good so we decided we might as well not scrap all this branding work we did. Admit One. Like a ticket. Funny name, let's go with it. We couldn't for the life of us get signed anywhere else so we decided one night we might as well start a record label. How hard can it be? Turns out it's a lot of work and someone's gotta do it! It's been just about five years, give or take and we think we can finally answer the question: 'What is Admit One's SOUND???' and the answer is I have no idea. But I still play records we put out 5 years ago. That's the hope for this release, we hope you can enjoy these tracks years down the line. Obviously we hope you can enjoy them right this second too. There's a lil something for everyone, especially if you're looking to scratch an itch that only an absolutely nasty record can scratch. There's some fresh faces and there's some very first releases here too. We expect to see great things from everyone here.
