ATL056 | 2022-03-11
ATL056 sees the Atlant debut of rising Dutch star Collé, whose diverse talents have been creating music across genres filled with emotion and depth. Collé delivers two fresh innovative melodic gems, with the package further enhanced by an outstanding Sasha Carassi remix.

Collé continues to makes waves after catching the attention of Solomun, Âme and Black Coffee with ‘Owami' and ‘Losing Time', a secret weapon for Dixon. Also one of the minds behind Point in Time, a label for vocal focused electronica, Collé's music features on the likes of DGTL, Balance, Anjunadeep, Still For Talent and Human By Default.

Title track ‘Solid' opens ATL056 and features a fine vocal by Mondingo. Collé starts by clever building a tense groove and atmosphere, paving the way for a dramatic vocal entrance. Superbly crafted layers create depth as ‘Solid' stretches out, allowing Mondingo to hit emotional highs with a hook that will play in your mind over and over again.

For remix we call on Neopolitan maestro Sasha Carassi, fresh from his Shiver EP last year [AT050] and recent killer releases for Bedrock and Renaissance. Very much in demand, we'd like to thank Sasha for finding time in his busy studio schedule to put a different lens on ‘Solid' which uses Mondingo's voice as an instrument, while also taking us on an extended twilight journey. Sasha's remix is stripped back, full of analogue warmth and has a breakdown judged to absolute perfection.

EP closer ‘Lost For Words' focuses firmly on the dance-floor, with Collé pulling out all the stops over six plus minutes of floating melodic layers underpinned by crashing beats, deep bass heavy arps, intense breaks and a driving relentless groove. The type of track that makes you want more.
