Saint Petersburg's Sunner Soul AKA Alexander Chebankov serves up five looping instrumental or near-instrumental disco and funk groovers here. 'Groove Express' centres around a walking bassline that's married to handclaps, barely-there snatches of spoken male vocal and the occasional brass fanfare, 'Kind Of Town' has a more sumptuous, Earth Wind & Fire-ish feel and 'There's No Stoppin' is an authentically late 70s-sounding disco workout complete with soaring strings. 'Third Time' then provides a moment's laidback jazz-funk respite, before the lavish n' lounge-y 'After The Rain' plays us out with its blend of soaring strings, Moog-y synths and familiar 'get up!' vocal shouts.
