Matthias Vogt is one half of Motorcitysoul, successful solo house music producer, and head of his own experimental jazz band re:jazz. Under his Motorcitysoul-moniker (along with C-Rock) he released several groundbreaking records on highly-acclaimed House-Imprints like Freerange, Simple, Aus, Stir 15 and Lofi-Stereo amongst others.
Vogt is also a jazz musician. He graduated in Jazz and Popular Music at the "Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt“. In 2002 the frankfurt-based Label INFRACOM! asked Matthias Vogt to realise a unique musical idea: The creation of an album that contains acoustic jazz-versions of originally elctronic tracks. A name for this project was easy to be found: re:jazz!.
A short potted history of Mr Vogt.
Originally released in 2008, Frankfurt Sour comes along with a new remix from Fred Everything, and Vogt's summer time gem "Accelerator" has two new mixes from SumSuch and Jonno & Tommo.
