Introducing Larion a 20-year-old producer and DJ from Johannesburg (South Africa), influenced by Afro tech at the age of 13, becoming obsessed with the music of Bonobo, Black Coffee, Da Capo, Djeff Afrozilla, and Kususa. Started producing about 3 years ago, and dabbling in songwriting for years before that with the ultimate goal of being able to share his craft with anyone who would give an ear
He strives to be in the field of talented artists, such as Da Africa Deep, MoRendo, Massh, Native Tribe, Native P, along with an array of inspiring young producers in the Afro House Scene. Findings EP is an expression of Larion with influence from his piers and heavy piano chords, accompanied by deep basslines and hypnotizing synths. He delivers a 4 track EP that rivals some of the finest productions released to date. The mixing and layout of the tracks are well mature for someone of 20 years old, alongside speaking volumes of his ambition to be a full-time sound engineer.
The music into your regular Afro Tech, but opens a small area of Afro Tech to allow some progressive melodies and baselines to creep in, this alone has built a small path for Larion himself within the Afro Scene. We emphasize the Journey an EP takes you on and Larion doesn't disappoint. This release has been 7 months in the making tweaking and getting the mastering to fit the style of the track alongside compiling the EP to amplify the journey, how Larion had mixed it, and the crucial sounds which give the track the final body changing touches. Each track takes you on a somber journey of finding yourself. no synth, piano, or baseline was left unattended and we are proud to again deliver a new artist into the Afro House Scene.
We are always happy to bring new artists and their Afro sounds to the label. This resonated with the team and we hope you feel the same. Let's welcome Larion under the Afro Umbrella and support his debut EP
