Multi-genre, modern electronic artist Michael Sebastian returns with his third album, 'Afiye'. The follow up to 'Kayanda', Sebastian's 2018 sophomore release, 'Afiye' further cements the South African-born artists position as an abstract lyricist, sensory musician and emotive storyteller.
Now living in London, Sebastian has founded a career on fluidly merging the conflicting styles of jazz, afrobeat and electronic music to create a sound that is culturally rich and sonically vibrant. Since the release of 'Kayanda' and his debut album 'Play', Sebastian has spent his time experimenting, improvising music for dancers and gigging relentlessly to refine his skillset before the creation of 'Afiye'.
'A really good record, mercury music prize finalist contender potentially?'
