DJ, producer, label boss AND promoter, Belfast's Jordan Nocturne has been instrumental in propelling Northern Ireland's club scene forward.
Nurturing new talent at his Belfast club night The Night Institute, Jordan is also a resident at the city's beloved AVA Festival, where as his touring schedule sees him making regular stops in London, Berlin, Ibiza, New York and Tokyo.
Alongside releases on Erol Alkan's Phantasy, Tiga's Turbo Recordings, Loose Fit and Huntleys & Palmers, Jordan also found time to launch his own label Nocturne, where he recently made massive waves with his self-released Nocturne Edits series, with DJ and radio support from Peggy Gou, The Blessed Madonna, Bicep, Tiga, Dance System, Kornel Kovacs, Erol Alkan, Midland, Gerd Janson, Tom Ravenscroft, Solomun, Jaguar and more.
System is honoured to have Jordan's first release following the Edits Series, the Hands Up EP, the origin of which Jordan explains here: "After almost two years of lockdown, I finally played my first gig in September, at AVA festival. This reminded me of the energy I'd been missing without clubs, and inspired me to go straight to the studio, where I got stuck in and wrote two fun tracks with club dancefloors in mind."
Label boss Dance System adds; "I caught Jordan playing Mixmag Lab last month, his set was full of energy and was just so much fun. We started chatting after that and he sent these tunes over, I thought they really captured the vibe of his sets and after spinning them a few times, I knew they would be perfect for System."
