Following on from his dreamy electronica album 'Fear' on Needwant Records, Paris Green returns to the label with a Deluxe Edition of the album, featuring remixes from Baltra, Demi Riquisimo, and the Amsterdam-based artist himself. Rising talent, Paris Green, delivers with debut album, 'Fear' on Needwant Records; a label pioneering the sounds of tomorrow and developing exciting artists in the world of crossover dance and electronic music including Lau.ra, Kiwi, and Ejeca. Never confining to one style or sound, the Amsterdam-based artist weaves in and out of progressive house, Electronica, and melodic techno, yet does so effortlessly, maintaining an atmospheric flair throughout the album's eight tracks.

'Angels' kickstarts the LP with grainy textures and distant ethereal vocals that blend together to create a spacious sound. A whirring Floating Points-esque bassline forms the backbone of the track, harmonising with David Stolk's blissful mid-point vocals, bringing all of the track's elements together. With their remix, Jacana People effortlessly inject a fresh spin on the record, chopping up the vocal, adding enchanting pads, and implementing a luscious breakdown. Whilst managing to retain the original's dreamy atmosphere, the duo transport 'Angels' into another level of otherworldly goodness.

'With You' similarly uses vocals to create an atmosphere; one that nods to the likes of Moderat and Burial. Baltra, who has released iconic lo-fi house tracks including 'O'Neil' and 'Fade Away' utilises the original track's angelic vocals yet replaces the headsy breakbeat rhythm for dancefloor kicks and classic house pads. The New York-based producer implements a mid-point breakdown, leaving the vocal stark, before the contagiously catchy bassline comes in once again taking 'With You' to a new level of euphoria.

Leading single, 'Redrum' embodies the collective ensemble of 'Fear'; sensorial sounds rich with injections of grainy textures and vocals, subtly merging into the track's instrumentation progressively.

Following on from 'Redrum', the appropriately titled 'DayDream' is beautifully introspective with ethereal vocals and arpeggiating pianos gently building up to the track's breakbeat drum pattern. Brilliantly produced, and blissful throughout.

Breakbeat rhythms continue in 'Maya' which boasts glitchy vocals and rich synths which glide beneath the chattering drum patterns. Paris Green's Ambient Mix swaps breakbeats for beat-less bliss, with bird tweets, warm synths, and vibrant pads forming the track's laidback instrumentation.

Similarly, 'Freedom's' rolling bassline hums throughout the track's duration, yet the ethereal aesthetic of 'Maya' is swapped out for warm melody and soulful vocals, teeing up the joyful drop.

'Four Five' is one of the album's more dancefloor centric tracks with percussion and stabs much like Four Tet whilst topped by gospel vocal samples a la Green Velvet's 'Preacher Man'.

Closing the album in impressive fashion is 'Outworld', another euphoric breakbeat dreamer with a tempo which heads into Jungle territory yet retaining an IDM identity. Through brilliant production, ethereal vocals, rich melodies, and inspiring instrumentation, 'Fear' effortlessly swallows you up and spits you out into an otherworldly landscape. Impressive throughout, Paris Green's debut album is the work of a brilliant artist without fear or boundaries.
