Get deeper in the music, in the magic of dancing and be one with them. Dualism Records presents “We Go Deep”, the new single by Jorge Jaramillo (also known as Who Da Funk) with Remix by Cales & Mr Hyde. We are serious when we say deep in the music: piano, piano and piano procure a tumultuous repetition, forcing even the most finicky-house-purist to embrace this underground track. Detroit’s influence on House music is top of the checklist on this selection as the edgy-vocals laid down by Los Angeles based Bodaciousthang ride perfectly to Jorge Jaramillo’s tight production. Written during a long night in the middle of el Quindio Colombia, cold and damp weather and a chill permeating the atmosphere pushed Jaramillo to succumb to a nostalgia once felt as he toured the planet as a Subliminal Records recording artist, then known as Who Da Funk. DJ sessions going long into the night and early morning, crowds in a frenzy, girls in a tissy and the concrete jungle he once embraced as his "House Music school", New York City all took control of his pen and paper as he meticously scribbled word after word...the lyrics were set. Along the original version comes the Remix made by Jaramillo´s mate and Dualism Records boss, Cales & Mr Hyde, that offers a deep, a “simpler deeper” reinterpretation. It´s a remix that according to Jaramillo himself, takes the listener back to New York in the 80s, at 4 AM in the morning at any underground melting dancefloor, where sweaty bodies dance to the addictive rhythm that comes out from the speakers, while the DJ breaks on through to deeper territories with this Remix, that provides powerful drums, that enables the trip among vocals, synthetic piano melodies and textures that sound like house music in its very own roots. Shiny Disco Balls, Sting Me Red, come second to this new track. That was then, this is now…… and now Jaramillo presents to you, “We Go Deep”
