The boys from Swansea, UK join The Bloc with their debut release - Foundation.
Young and gifted Techno pair, State Of Minds have been playing the DJ circuit since 2018, quickly billed alongside such acts as The Yellowheads, Alan Fitzpatrick, Chris Liberator and Rebuke. The duo are now exploring their production portfolio, with their first outing 'Foundation' hitting The AudioBloc catalogue.
The boys are loved for the hybrid between harder shades and melody-driven Techno, which Foundation exemplifies to a T. Backed by a rugged, acid groove and bold drums, the piece works through a variety of sombre melodic motifs and driving Hard Techno accents. 'Conception' is the second offering by the boys which opens up with dark and atmospheric drones and FX then immediately reshaping the structure into something much deeper and detailed.
The first remix is provided by PRYDIE from Manchester who is also making his AudioBloc debut. Recently showcasing his EP 'Back Room' released on Ithica Records, he renders a superb, high energy take of 'Foundation'. The second remix comes courtesy of SKiRRA, from Birmingham who is appearing on an exceptional bounty of labels such as D.A.V.E. The Drummers Hydraulix label back in July. SKiRRA's remix of 'Conception' is a great example of his industrial techno style, with punishing synth arps and haunting FX.
