Do you like birds? Well then. In birdland a 'dwaalgast' is the odd one out. The bird you don't see that often. Perhaps he's lost. Perhaps he's just hungry or curious. In this case, Dwaalgast seems to have left his usual habitat Utrecht to bring you a fresh pack of remixes of his Pad EP. Just like on the original record, the central role is again for spoken word artist Shari Klein, who sees how her philosophical sentences follow new paths that head out in every direction.

From the dubby Deepchord-like bas excercitions from Luna Ludmilla on opener 'Maan' via the laidback and dreamy house grooves of Nuno dos Santos on 'Dwaal' we enter club territory when label friend and international dj star Patrice Baumel enters the equation. While in proper 4x4-modus, he shoves Klein's voice through metallic filters and introduces tiny bubbly noises that give his version of 'Pad' an underwater illusion.

Luca dell'Orso takes the last bite, with a very cool Italo-esque remix of 'Fruit'. Melancholic melodies and serious bass synths take you way back to a time when dry ice machines were still the norm.

Four very different remixes that highly reflect the essence of the verb 'dwalen' (Dutch for 'getting lost'). Just wait and see where you end up.
