PuzzleProjectsMusic continues its prolific run with this potent double trouble package featuring label head Ben Spalding and Italian dynamo Flavio MP.
Ahead of his extensive touring schedule to north & south America this September, the PuzzleProjectsMusic & HOT GROOVERS label boss has been on fire through 2021 with a consistent series of top 100 releases in their respective genres, alongside overseeing the rapid growth of the two labels and the talented collective of artists which has led to critical acclaim from publications such as DJ Mag and support from major artists across the genres of Disco, House & Techno worldwide.
Flavio MP - now heavily involved with both labels is a seasoned artist, who has travelled the globe to play at iconic events such as Love Parade, featuring alongside some of the world's best-known underground acts. Together they have produced a double-header that features two unusual, yet exquisitely produced dance floor weapons.
The release kicks off with 'Funkster', a hard-hitting tech-house stomper with hefty beats and an equally meaty bassline. An extended intro builds the tension sky high before descending into a dense, powerful cut with a murky rolling atmosphere. Razor-sharp percussion slices through the thick low end, warped laughter, and vocals join drum rolls to pump the track full of energy. Ben and Flavio utilising key design elements to keep the energy and tension ebbing and flowing throughout, to great effect.
On the flipside we have 'Stop Talking.' The morose atmosphere complements the infamous lines uttered by Al Pacino, nasty b-line throbs and the snares and hi-hats percolate in the top end. Again, Ben and Flavio take an unorthodox approach with this track, avoiding predictable linear programming to enliven the cut with fresh energy. Get ready for the switch up midway through, as the rhythm shifts and morphs into new territory.
